I may be one with mild Aspergers, but still a brony; and one who cares about Derpy. She is what made the show special, even more than the Mane Six. She epitomized a greater lesson from the show, as Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers' Neighborhood) put it before her scenes were edited, and I shall put it in a letter form.

Dear Princess Celestia,

I learned that everyone and everypony, but most of all Derpy,
Makes each day special. And we know how.
By just being themselves and ourselves.
There is only one person or pony in all existences just like us.
And no matter how some people or ponies may feel,
There are those who can and will love us just the way we are.

Some people are simply offended by her. Thing is, there have been characters in cartoons with derped eyes before, but people these days are just so easily offended.

It's all in the past now though and she's still as popular as ever. She's even getting her own episode in season 3. Third episode if I remember correctly.

But why do people take it personally? seriously, im mean if they dont have anything nice to say about Derpy, dont say it at all. But what really ticks me off, do they really now have to say and/or yell to get rid of her??? Honestly... -_-'"

Because a lot of people are ignorant loud mouthed. They feel as if their opinion is the only one that matters and all it takes is one to rally a huge group.
Hasbro has already confirmed they aren't getting rid of her, so there isn't anything to worry about now. Honestly, I love this fandom as it's brought the best out in a lot of people, but a lot of bronies flip s**t so easily over these things that we make it worse instead of better. Everyone, brony or otherwise, just need to keep it chill.
